cool!! this sem's operations and total quality management module has a very interesting project requirement... and part of it is as follows:


Your task is as follows:

Call up individual supermarket respectively. (ask for name of sales person)
Enquire about a particular product no longer available or sold in Singapore (Slim Jim Beef Jerky).
Ask for an explanation as to why product is no longer available.
Enquire if it is possible to place a special order for it with the supermarket.
At anytime, should the staff on the line be unable to provide a satisfactory answer, ask to speak to someone with authority. ( I.e. Supervisor, department head, manager)
Next, enquire about a particular flavour of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. (chocolate fudge brownie or something)
Ask if it is able to be reserved and available for collection on a specific day. (make the appointment the day after)
If flavour is not available, ask it they are able to make a special order of it.
Reserve 4 pints.
On the day of collection, do not turn up on purpose.
See if supermarket will call you back to check if you still want the product.
Apologise and decline politely.
At all times, take note of their behaviour, mannerism with close reference to the 10 dimensions of service quality, the checklist and the lecture notes.

LOL...now u guys know wat i mean? its so fun...this is only a small part of it...there'll be a part 2 where we'll be going down to the 2 supermarket and do the same thing there and i'm going to be the actor while the rest of my grpmates shall observe...i can't wait for everything to start.. hopefully things would go smoothly this time round as compared to last sem's projects!!
